Weddings at The Durham

With 53 guest rooms, elegant food and beverage, and mid-century design by acclaimed firm Commune, The Durham Hotel is the perfect downtown Durham venue for wedding weekend events, dining, and lodging for friends and family. As an independently owned and operated hotel, we are committed to personal service and have partnerships with local makers, farmers, and artisans. This, along with a central location walking distance to all downtown attractions and convenient to Duke University, means partnering with us to throw a unique Durham wedding is easy. Our private dining room, penthouse suite and private terrace, restaurant, and rooftop lounge are available for any size party for rehearsal dinners, receptions, private brunches, showers, and photo shoots.

 

Host a daytime ceremony on our roof, before moving downstairs to our first-floor restaurant for cocktails, dinner, and dancing. The main restaurant and outdoor patio can accommodate up to 150 guests with no dance floor or 100 guests for dinner and dancing. Host a smaller reception on our rooftop terrace or in our 2nd floor private dining room. We offer a range of seasonal menus and also serve locally sourced beer, wine, and cocktails for your post-ceremony reception. Most services are available in-house, including all beverage service, staffing, tables, chairs, and minimal décor for a truly unique indoor/outdoor space.
